COMMISSIONS FAQ
Ordering your banner
You can order banners by emailing me at [email protected]
All my banners are custom made to order. I need a minimum of 3 months’ notice to make sure I can fit your order into my calendar and make it to the high quality I am known for.
Your order is not confirmed until I have ensured that your banner will fit in the calendar, and you have paid a £50 deposit. I will send out the link to pay the deposit when I confirm I have time to make the banner. Please note that this is non refundable.
Creation and Delivery Process
Whether you’re choosing your banner from a template, or ordering a custom design, the process for the creation and delivery of your banner will be about the same. After you have paid your deposit, I’ll prepare a digital mockup of your personalised / custom banner to send over for your approval, along with a quote for custom designs and a rough timescale for delivery. Once you’re happy with the mock up, we’ll sign off on the design and I’ll start work on the final banner. I’ll update you with photos once it’s finished and ready to send to you.
Payment
The banner cost is split into two payments: the first is a £50 deposit to confirm your order and the second is the remaining balance, after you sign off on the digital mock up. Please note the £50 deposit is non refundable.
Delivery
I mostly just ship to the UK and Ireland but do make exceptions. Just let me know where you are based in your order form and please factor in the extra delivery time when considering how soon you need your banner.
CARE
All banners are made from high quality synthetic velvet or suede, which should last many years with good care. However, under certain circumstances even this fabric can fray, so please do not ever wash or iron your banner, even on the lowest setting. You can remove dust with a lint roller, small marks with a wet cloth, and if it needs any further cleaning, take it to a professional dry cleaner. Any creases in the fabric should remove themselves in a couple of days if you hang or lay the banner flat, or you can blow dry them out with a hair dryer (really).
Other languages
I’m happy to make banners in any language, as long as I can source a font you like and you’re able to provide me with the wording and guide me through the correct text direction / placement.
Not-a-Wedding ceremonies
I’m happy to cater to whatever kind of wedding, ceremony or relationship that you are honouring. For example, civil partnership ceremonies, humanist ceremonies, polyamourous commitment ceremonies, solo self-marriage, etc. Whatever rainbow flag you fly under is good with me.
Access needs
If you need any accommodations either in the delivery of your banner or our communications, please let me know. I’ll do my best to make sure this is a calm and pleasant experience and that my process is easy to understand. You’ll know better than I do what this means for you.
